Jonathan Davidson grew up near the Houston area, and he is happily married and a proud father.
Jonathan graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA, and he later completed the year-long CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ CFP® Certification Education program from Rice University. He has been licensed in the financial industry for over 17 years and is a previously-registered Broker and Investment Advisor in securities.
Jonathan is a certified background-checked member of the National Ethics Association, a membership organization of financial and insurance professionals who have successfully passed a comprehensive series of background checks and have agreed to maintain NEA membership standards.
In addition to helping clients, Jonathan enjoys playing piano and spending time with his family, hiking, camping, skiing, backpacking, and exploring the world. He has traveled to more than 750 cities in North America, Central America, Europe, Asia, The Caribbean, and Southeast Asia, so far. Jonathan is also a Committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ and was voted Rookie of the Year on his team. He is a business coach for a Prison Entrepreneurship Program, and he has also led multiple groups of inmates through a separate 13-week Prison Ministry program at a maximum-security prison unit.
Whether he is helping a family member, a friend, or a person he has just met, Jonathan’s message is consistent. He started Petrus Retirement Planning with one big goal in mind: To genuinely help people protect their life savings and to avoid confusion in planning for retirement. Through his Educational Seminars and one-on-one meetings, Jonathan has taught thousands of retirees and soon-to-be retirees how to protect their retirement portfolios against market downturns, avoid common financial mistakes, and find safer money choices ensuring that they will not outlive their money.
